Sculpture Workshop

Yesterday, our university’s Architecture and Design Society arranged a sculpture workshop at the school. Before we start to play with clay, we were suggested to produce a sketch drawing that shows us what we are going to do with clay. After we had some ideas we just started to play with clay and tried to give a shape to it considering our sketches. Our guide was from another university’s Fine Arts Department, so he actually helped us a lot while shaping the clay and trying to achieve the balance of our sculptures.

I tried to make a sculpture that is both abstract and tangible. So I worked on a human figure in the part that I challenged with the rules of anatomy, I abstracted it. It was one of the enjoyable activity that I took part in till now.
